Welcome to AVERX Gear: Two Brothers Building Better Everyday Carry from New Zealand

We’re two brothers from Northland, New Zealand, and we’re a little obsessed with EDC.

At 19, I decided to start AVERX Gear because I was tired of struggling to find well-made, minimalist everyday carry tools that actually felt worth carrying. Most options online were either low-quality junk or overpriced and bulky. So I built this store myself — and my younger brother immediately became the ultimate quality control tester.

He owns a metal lathe and has an incredibly critical eye for precision tools and machining. Every single item we sell gets ordered, inspected, and tested hands-on before it’s listed. If it doesn’t meet our standards for materials, finish, functionality, or durability, it doesn’t make the cut.

We focus on titanium, stainless steel, and high-quality minimalist gear — card wallets, pry bars, flashlights, multi-tools, and precision instruments that are built to last and actually improve your daily life.

Why We Do This

EDC isn’t about carrying the most stuff. It’s about carrying the right stuff — lightweight, reliable tools you reach for every day. From urban pockets to outdoor adventures, we want gear that feels solid, works flawlessly, and stays with you for years.

What You’ll Find at AVERX

Right now our collection includes standouts like:

Everything is carefully sourced, personally vetted, and backed by free expedited shipping across Australia and New Zealand.

If you’re someone who appreciates quality, minimalism, and gear that’s actually tested by people who use it daily — welcome. We’re just getting started and excited to grow this with the EDC community.

What’s one tool or piece of gear you always wish you had on hand? Drop a comment below or reach out — we read every message.

Thanks for supporting two brothers who are passionate about this stuff.
